Crevices of Colour
Opening
The exhibition is put on for pleasure, out of a desire for beauty, a thirst for colour. We know that a pandemic is not a good time for exhibitions. There will be no crowded vernissage, and as you can see, Sebastian Skoczylas’ paintings hang in an empty gallery.
Or perhaps a pandemic is the best time for exhibitions because the need to commune with art, which is like a vitamin shot of colour, seems to be even stronger right now.
That’s just a start – there is a whole story in these paintings, about abstraction, about detachment from reality.
