  Born in Lublin in 1979. Graduated the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Painting diploma supervised by Professor Piotr Błażejewski in 2004.

• Sensualism and abstraction – Sebastian Skoczylas’s paintings made of colourful, horizontal stripes are a distant echo of moments and places. There is a sensual play of pure colours, a delicate transition from tone to tone, a clarity of composition. The structures hidden within peacefully drift towards geometry as if against the nature of “accidental” Informel which they originate from. Poetic and nebulous, Informel painting doesn’t dramatise, but tranquilises, illuminates and helps the audience regain inner balance and harmony.
