  Born in 1977 in Rzeszow. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. Graduated in 2002 under tutorage of Prof Stanislaw Kortyka and Prof Wojciech Kaniowski. Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, where he currently runs a painting studio.

• The atmosphere of intimacy – a humble world of still life, courtyards and city palaces’ interiors. In Łukasz Huculak’s paintings ordinary, everyday things gain a metaphysical meaning. One can see inspiration from Vermeer, Chardin and Morandi. Meticulous composition and colour range restricted to various shades of white, grey and brown. The texture of his paintings looks as if it was covered in dust, peeling and cracking. It makes one feel as if one was dealing with an archaeological excavation and not a contemporary painting.
