Łukasz Majchrowicz’s painting is like a quiet conversation with the spectator, an invitation to a journey inside oneself – his abstract compositions are lyrical, sensual; they bring out the feeling of concentration, induce contemplation. The space and emotions on Majchrowicz’s canvases are portrayed only with a means of correct combinations of colours and forms. Colour zones, rhythmic sets of strokes – the artist creates depths without restrain and achieves the effect of undulating and permeating of surfaces. In those pure abstracts there is transcendence, strength and elation reminiscent of the medieval icons or the Buddhist mandalas.
