Adam Szczuciński

He loves portraits most – he is interested in what is fragile, fleeting in a person. A glance, a wrinkle, a lock of hair.
In Venetian gardens, he once met a family of blind men. They embraced trees, clinging to them as if to a mother's cloak in the freezing cold. And then – tapping their white canes – they shuffled, like three-legged insects, crippled centaurs, towards the luminous shore and the roar of the waves, persistently, without complaint, with a boundless faith in beauty.
