A hyperrealist, he graduated the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, where he is now one of the professors. His style seems to be a revolt against the background of the geometric doctrine of the academy. Upon his fascination with French Realism, he discovered the art of hyperrealists – Chuck Close, Davis Cone, Richard Estes. At the same time his works bear visible traces of the history of art. A painter of vedute, a meticulous documentalist, and a travelling painter in the fashion of artists in the 18th and 19th centuries. Apart from urban interiors, narrow streets and alleys, and shop windows, however, cars and motorcycles have become the most typical motifs of Sadowski’s art. He masterfully depicts the shape, colour, gloss of body paint and reflections. These paintings combine the affirmation of the beauty of an object with the settlement of purely painting issues.
